Alex Faust is an American lead play-by-play announcer for FOX Sports in The Spring League. He further, contributes to FS1’s college basketball and football coverage. Faust will be working with longtime analyst Petros Papadakis in the 2021 college football season.

Faust’s parents are both television producers. He was born and raised in Brooklyn, New York. Alex went to Northeastern University in Boston, Massachusetts, and graduated with a degree in political science and economics in 2012.

Faust’s broadcasting career was at Northeastern University, as a student calling Huskies basketball and ice hockey on WRBB, the student radio station. Alex then worked as a data analyst and consultant at PricewaterhouseCoopers after graduating from Northeastern. Further, from 2013 to 2015, Alex called select radio games for the Utica Comets of the American Hockey League filling in for Brendan Burke.

Since he wanted to be a full-time sportscaster, Alex left PwC and became a freelance announcer, he was now calling games for Westwood One, NBC Sports, NESN, and ESPN. Afterward, Alex was hired by NESN to call college basketball games. He worked so hard and with time, Alex was now the lead play-by-play announcer for the station’s coverage of Hockey East games.

Faust then joined Fox Sports where he calls college basketball, football, and basically all the Major League Baseball games for the station. In June 2017, Alex was named the television play-by-play voice for the Los Angeles Kings. This was after the long-time Kings announcer Bob Miller. Further, Alex called select Boston Red Sox games for NESN in 2019, he was filling in for Dave O’Brien anytime Dave was busy with ACC Network commitments.
